How Family, Workplace and Elder Mediation Works
How does mediation work?
Mediation is built on two essential principles: it is confidential and voluntary. As your mediator, I remain non-judgemental, neutral and impartial, ensuring the process is fair for everyone involved. I bring respect, care, and a focus on constructive outcomes—helping people move forward with clarity, confidence, and stronger relationships.
Three steps for mediation
Mediation follows three key steps:
Private conversations – I meet individually with each party to understand your concerns and help you clarify how you want to show up and help you to identify possible options to bring into the discussion.
Joint mediation session – In a calm and supported setting, both parties are encouraged to share their perspectives, explore concerns, and work together on potential solutions.
Resolution and agreement – If an agreement is reached, it is documented in writing so everyone has a clear, shared understanding of the outcome. This agreement can be reviewed over time.
Mediation can be conducted online or face-to-face, depending on what works best for you.
